Desire, in general, is much frown on by spiritual leaders.

But the desireless state of mind is pretty hopeless to get things done.

Even to be without desire, the drive needs to come from THE desire of having one!

I like Steve’s additional comment about DESIRE and her sister DRIVE. Do you find they can be self-stimulated? Or do you think they must already BE there?

Or perhaps I shall put it another way. Do you think everyone already possesses DESIRE and DRIVE and only the gunk (let’s say emotions which may need to be cleaned up and addressed, I know. I’m a feeler. So I deal with the emotions as well. because their need drives us as well. For good or for ill.) keeps us from connecting well with our already existing desire and drive.
