The Only Time is NOW Time
“The Only Time is NOW Time”
Walt Disney started the company that became Disney as we know it today just as the Great Depression was about to start - after a previous bankruptcy W. Clement Stone built Combined Insurance Companies of America out of the Depression, Bill Gates and Paul Allen began Microsoft’s march towards world domination in a recession. Amazon was launched by Jeff Bezos -in a recession. The list is long; of successful companies started in “Chicken Little” times, with really bad timing.
Timing most definitely matters. The difference between salad and rubbish is timing! Its better to have timing as an ally when possible, but that still doesn’t often justify sitting around and waiting for it. Because trying to correctly time timing is as close to impossible as we can get! Try asking Investors and Speculators who try timing markets and predicting bottoms and tops who have invariably been slaughtered in the stampede of the Bulls and Bears!
The Trouble with timing is that it is so hard to control. You put the same offer in front of a client today and get a ‘no’ and a week earlier or later get a ‘yes’! But how do you know the right answer in advance?
Well thats something we will be covering in the weeks ahead. Ultimately, most Successes in Life seem to plow ahead regardless of the conditions and circumstances they must plow through, helped at times by fortune but refusing to be hindered by unfortunate timing. Had Walt or Gates or Bezos waited for better times, would we still have the empire of the Mouse on which the sun never sets? Would we still be enslaved by Microsoft? Would we still all be buying from Amazon? No idea, couldn’t has it a guess, and I doubt anyone else would know either! For the most part it’s not what Successful People do, so its not the kind of question they ever ponder. They are busy doing , while others are pondering!
Timing seems so unfavorable right now for so many things, Yet in the years ahead there’ll be a Disney and a Gates with stories to tell of starting something when everyone else was saying ”the sky is falling” when every door seemed closed and when everyone advised them not to, but like I started this post
“The Only Time is NOW Time”

The time is always right for achieving your pursuits. It is never the right time to wait for uncontrolable circumstances to meet our needs.

When times are slow and you can get things done for a great price, and quickly people don’t act because of fear of the future.
When times get better, people don’t act because they have to pay a higher price than they were able to pay during the slower times so they wait for the price to come back down (it doesn’t).
There is no time like the present…

I love the analogy – the only thing that is different between a salad and rubbish is timing! Great food for thought!

Super great post. Indeed, we ONLY have NOW.
How are we leveraging that for our business relationship building as well as our romantic intimate relationships?
